Description: This semester course is designed to introduce students to a model designed to establish the key components of a continual self-assessment cycle. This fitness based course will be designed around the concepts, knowledge and skills needed to create a personal fitness profile and set SMART goals for short term and long term fitness. Students will participate in fitness based, sport based and leisure time activities to promote a lifetime of physical fitness.

  • Set realistic short-term and long term, health-related fitness goals based on individual profiles

  • Participate in various types of fitness training programs and know implications of and the benefits from participation in those programs

Description: This is a course focused on athletic conditioning. The targets provide a foundation for intensive training and maximal athletic efforts. Daily activity will focus on core strength training aligned with the sport related skills of agility, power, speed, coordination and reaction time. Workouts will be uniquely designed to support current sports of the semester.
